Viacom’s Distribution & Business Development department negotiates and manages carriage agreements with traditional cable operators, new digital partners, and wireless distributors to bring Viacom programming to your TV, computer and mobile devices. We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced coordinator who thrives in the midst of change and disruption.
The coordinator will work directly with the Manager, Director, and Vice President of Distribution and Business Development to support account management and new sales efforts.
Responsibilities
• Work in tandem with Manager on client management, including account documentation, research and competitive analysis
• Provide strategic research, competitive analysis and market strategies in order to build sales stories and client decks
• Attend both internal and external meetings and provide team with updates
• Serve as liaison between Partner Marketing and the client’s Marketing team in order to meet annual marketing commitments by ensuring strategy and execution moves forward efficiently
• Project manage executing operational requirements for new deals by working collaboratively across departments including Operations, Legal, Finance, and Marketing
• Support team to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations through auditing and regular surveillance
• Responsible for maintaining data integrity for accounts in Distribution and Business Development database, including client and market information
• Build revenue and data analysis for digital performance and usage
• Opportunity to independently rep and manage small cable accounts, which can include presenting to clients and attending industry events
• Strive to become an expert on the ins and outs of the team’s accounts in order to bring valuable knowledge to negotiations and other high-level projects
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a cross-functional team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Interest in and passion for media and technology

• Project management: Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strategic Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills
• Communication : Exceptional interpersonal skills, outstanding written and oral communications skills as required to interface across several levels and groups
• Personal: Proactive self-starter and team player, ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adapt to changing industry and organizational landscape
