Viacom Velocity and Awesomeness are seeking a Branded Entertainment Copywriter to work as part of a collaborative team producing unique premium content for some of the biggest and most exciting brands in the world. The role will be continuing freelance with opportunity for full time employment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, idea machine who has the ability to quickly turn around well thought out creative concepts for both scripted and unscripted formats, understanding a 360 approach to branded content that includes original video/series content, as well as social and influencer driven ideas. This role requires strong creative writing skills, storytelling and aesthetic chops, critical thinking, and a finger on the pulse of new trends, new media, social platforms and YouTube. S/he must have solid conceptual abilities and be a strategic thinker, with ideas that deliver on brief, and be able to work with the team to build out client decks and deliverables. The candidate should be prepared to present and champion creative to the internal team and, potentially, to clients. The ideal candidate will have production and post-production experience, with the ability to help shepherd greenlit projects through these phases and final delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to both RFPs and proactive strategic partnerships by providing creative and effective ideas and copy for branded campaigns across ATV and Viacom Velocity channels.
- Collaborate with internal Producers, Social Strategists, Marketing Solutions and Sales leads to make sure creative concepts are on target and represent both ATV brands and the client's requests.
- Responsible for writing all creative copy and show concepts for pitches, RFPs, decks, and episodic series.
- Work with deck builders and oversee the creation of pitch decks to ensure they deliver on the creative concepts and meet presentation standards.
- Client research and development.
- Collaborate with production and post-production departments and provide creative input as projects are approved and move forward.
Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years minimum of Branded Content experience.
- Knowledge of storytelling/screenwriting required.
- Must possess a deep history and knowledge of digital media, content strategy, branded entertainment, advertising, social media and influencer marketing. Be considered a thought leader in digital media and social media advertising internally and externally.
- Experience creating work for 360 campaigns, from concept all the way to production.
- Understanding current and upcoming trends and platforms across the digital ecosystem
- Strong knowledge of the current advertising/Branded Entertainment landscape and what creative trends are working for like-minded brands.
- Must be team player, with the ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadline situations, delivering first-rate work on each one.
- Strong conceptual and creative selling skills
- Must be an excellent storyteller with outstanding written and presentation skills.
- Above average ability to sell ideas with passion, present work to clients in a clear and compelling manner and the capacity to process and incorporate client feedback.
