Overview
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Commercial Ad Operations department is an international team with traffickers based in London, Berlin, Milan, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. The department’s mission is to support online Ad trafficking and commercial Ad product across all regions with the goal to maximize revenue.
WHAT IS THE ROLE
The Ad Ops Manager will be part of the Online Operations team responsible for implementing web and app advertising campaigns across a large network of well-established sites internationally (MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VIVA, Paramount, VH1, Nickelodeon, South Park and Spike) and on YouTube. The role is based in London and will focus on managing the International Campaign Co-ordinator, managing campaigns and a variety of projects across all international regions, supporting the Director of Multiplatform Operations and overseeing the outsourced traffic team as and when required.
Daily responsibilities in this role include:
• Acting as the main point of contact for gathering digital creative assets for internal marketing advertisements across international and domestic sites
• Managing the trafficking and delivery of interactive advertising campaigns for key sales accounts (via Google’s GAM & FreeWheel’s MRM), including YouTube campaigns.
• Managing the operational execution of all INTL Tentpole sites (i.e. EMAs, KCAs) and their campaigns globally
• Managing internal marketing campaigns across our portfolio of websites and keeping the house orders complete and up to date
• Preparing end of campaign and ad hoc reports for external clients as well as investigating 3rd party discrepancies
• Working closely with the sales team to operationally deliver the programmatic and social side of the business as and when required
• Assist the Product Team with the certification of new programmatic partners in our video and display ad servers across INTL Viacom sites
• Ensure creatives adhere to technical specifications, including testing and troubleshooting 3rd party ads, 3rd party tags and programmatic/partner tags. Testing rich media and developing interactive creatives across international and domestic sites
• Interacting with agencies, sales, site managers, production and development, and marketing teams to further our business objectives
• Ownership & development of INTL ad sales operations and advertising partnerships
• Developing a strong understanding of the needs of various markets (in the industry) and how they relate to our centralised business
• Managing and mentoring the International Campaign Co-ordinator as well as overseeing an outsourced traffic team as and when required
• Solutions-oriented, with a strong knowledge of online media and exposure to the online ad sales process and ad architecture
• Maintaining inventory and updating delivery and campaign data for internal spreadsheets
• Maintenance and communication of specs to sales, clients and agencies
• Maintain communications for the advertising operations department with editorial, development and sales teams as required

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED
• Management and leadership experience with the ability to delegate effectively
• Full competency with the ad servers and coding languages such as HTML and CSS
• Project management
• Programmatic and social media experience an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to converse with site managers and developers and well as account executives and clients/agencies
• Demonstrate excellent computer skills (especially with Microsoft's Excel), strong awareness in new digital media and technologies. Knowledge of HTML, Flash, Photoshop, CSS
• Capacity for meticulous review of campaign data in auditing and data entry
