Overview
Working with the Senior Director and Acquisitions Manager to plan and implement a film strategy across the wider portfolio and alongside the Acquisitions Manager, you will be responsible for the effective scheduling of films across the portfolio. View content of multiple genres making editorial assessments to the Senior Director of Acquisitions and Channel Directors. Help us drive the ‘One ViacomCBS’ approach, role modelling phenomenal teamwork and collaboration and acting an ambassador for all VCNI channels, internally and externally! Help us embed the ViacomCBS values and foster a culture of inclusion and help build the greatest possible workplace experience for employees!
What is the role:
• Provide solutions for scheduling challenges
• Liaise with internal departments such as Compliance, legal, Publicity, Planning/Scheduling, Press & Marketing to ensure accurate information is supplied to them
• Write editorial briefs for promos
• Sign off promos to ensure they accurately reflect the content
• Research programming in accordance with channel requirements, staying ahead of UK and International programming trends to present to wider acquisitions team for possible acquisition
• Screen content and Produce viewing reports
• Attend exhibitor screenings when required
• Lead approval paperwork and essential administrative tasks (Business Board Approval Meeting, Deal Complete emails, Supplier payments etc.)
What skills do you need
• Knowledge of television programming across all genres, with a special interest in film
• Some experience of working with or within an Acquisitions team
• Demonstrate strong administrative skills, ideally in a busy, fast paced environment
• Sound editorial judgement
• Understanding and insight of where to play in the schedule
• Extensive knowledge of the complete VIMN portfolio including Channel 5
• Able to identify acquisition opportunities for our portfolio
• Knowledge of WON and used to navigating internal systems
