Junior Contracts Manager (Senior Coordinator), Business and Legal Affairs, International Consumer Products

Overview and Responsibilities
Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Junior Contracts Manager fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese to join the International Consumer Products team! This person will play a key role within the Consumer Products (‘CP’) legal team. They will be responsible for ensuring a fast and efficient turnaround time for licensing deals across all international territories, whilst providing the business with a high level of professional service at all times. They will also provide support to the Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager, Senior Counsel and Vice President as needed. This role is based out of our New York headquarters.
Responsibilities
Include:
• Managing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for licensing deals (i.e. merchandise, content and promotions) for business groups across the international region, as required, for Contracts Manager’s review and approval
• Drafting NDAs, notices, termination letters, consent letters, customs and authorization letters, and other correspondence
• Maintaining relationships internally and externally (i.e. agents and licensees)
• Assisting with administrative tasks, research, sightings, debt collection, litigation matters, and assisting other Junior Contracts Managers/Contracts Managers as required
• Maintaining templates and suggesting updates, and creating new templates, as requested, for review and approval of Senior Counsel and/or VP of BALA
• Maintaining and updating internal reference resources for CP relating to onboarding and training materials
• Liaising with Global Operations team to track and manage deal status and related reporting
• Handling the organization and distribution of signed CP contracts and coordinating with Systems/Operations team
• Maintaining and circulating BALA reports as required
• Assisting Senior Counsel and/or VP of BALA on special projects as needed, and providing administrative support to manager and other senior team members as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required (oral and written)
• Experienced paralegal - certificate in paralegal studies or contract management preferred
• Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements and amendments
Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
• Experience working in-house preferred, but will consider applicants from private practice background that have had experience managing their own caseload and dealing directly with clients
• Keen ability to analyze and interpret documents and written communications
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work both independently and with other team members, internal departments, agents and licensees
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly across different cultures and languages
