How do I hire a Coordinator, Programming & Content Scheduling- VH1? Do you have a passion for television and love all things VH1? The VH1 Programming Coordinator leads day-to-day scheduling of VH1. This position plays an integral role in creating and executing strategic and tactical programming decisions for the network.
Responsibilities:
• You will ensure accurate input and maintenance of the daily scheduling for VH1
• You will monitor syndicate channel listings to ensure titles and descriptions are accurate
• You will input program metadata into the scheduling platform
• You will assist in maintaining internal and competitive programming calendars
• You will contribute to strategic discussions for the daily, weekly and monthly network schedule
• You will screen episodes to find themes for on-air stunting and provide feedback
• You will participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Provide administrative assistance to department executives as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of experience within the entertainment/television space (strong internship experience considered)
• Skilled in Excel/Microsoft Office
Additional Qualifications
• Familiar with VH1 content; past and present
• Experienced in PTS (or other scheduling software)
• Basic knowledge of show structure (Acts, Breaks, Credits, Teases)
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organized and deadline oriented
