Verve Talent & Literary Agency is seeking a detailed-orientated Communications and Operations Assistant.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and appropriately communicating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Execution- Assist in developing and posting content across Verve's social media platforms, including Instagram and LinkedIn, to strengthen brand presence and engage audiences.
Event Support- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events, including mixers, screenings, employee gatherings, and external-facing events.
Administrative Support to Head of Communications and Director of Communications and Operations-Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, calls, and appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and time management. Provide overall administrative support with tasks such as expense submission and preparing meeting agendas.
Press Release Support- Assist in the drafting, editing, and distribution of press releases to announce agency milestones, client achievements, and other relevant news. This also includes tracking media coverage and organize press archives, keeping records of Verve's public presence and press mentions.
Industry Updates- Maintain a comprehensive industry calendar of awards, events, premieres, and other major happenings, and email a weekly summary to Verve staff.
Gifting- Coordinate corporate gifting for executives, clients, and press, ensuring thoughtful, timely, and brand-aligned selections.
Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, or a related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an administrative, social media, or communications role, ideally within a creative or agency environment.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating events, handling client interactions, and producing clear written materials.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
Social media savvy with familiarity in various platforms and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop) and familiarity with social media management tools.
High attention to detail and a creative eye, especially in supporting event planning, gifting, and social media content.
