Audio/Talent Assistant (NY)
New York, NY
Verve is seeking an Assistant, enthusiastic about Talent and Audio representation, to support an Audio and Talent agent with key business initiatives and administrative duties as needed. This is an opportunity to gain firsthand insights into deal negotiation, and benefit from mentorship by industry leaders. The ideal candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have a desire to learn the business and pursue a career in talent representation. Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support, including: phones, scheduling, expenses, bookings, and
general desk duties
• Evaluate queries, Send, and track client submissions/materials, and self-tapes
• Assist in developing existing projects into submission-ready proposals
• Track contracts and payments
• Engage with clients, editors, producers, executives, scouts, external agents and managers, and
colleagues with utmost professionalism
• With the Agent, actively liaise with the rest of the team and NY and LA offices
• Answer/roll a high volume of phone calls; Manage a high volume of email
• ·Understand accounting, including client paperwork, diligently pursue payments, and
manage payment grids
• Arrange travel
• Provide script coverage
• Effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels
Requirements
• 1 year of experience working as an assistant in the entertainment industry preferred
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Solution-oriented, extremely organized, and the ability to think strategically
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a high-volume setting
• Keen interest in books, audio, TV and films, and how they get made
