Job Description:
The Booking Representative / Talent Buyer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, servicing venue clientele and ultimately, booking events. This position will work closely with venues, agents and promoters and strive to create new relationships for Venue Coalition while also working on established accounts. This role will also be responsible for collecting, summarizing and distributing information to Venue Coalition members and industry professionals.
Qualified candidates should be capable of developing and executing their own booking strategies while working as a team or independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion to work in the live event business and share our commitment to serving the needs of our members and the live entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
•Service Arena client relationships
•Identify, research, and coordinate Arena bookings
•Identify, create, and manage booking relationships with content providers (Agents, Promoters, Producers)
•Work with venue staff to collect, organize, and distribute booking information
•Maintain spreadsheets, calendars, and information databases
•Prepare and submit talent offers and budgets for event performances. Negotiate and communicate deal terms and confirm events (Talent Buying)
•Ongoing research and outgoing calls to identify new booking opportunities for Venue Coalition clients
•Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
•Excellent written and oral communications skills
•Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to work effectively under pressure of deadlines
•Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
•Ability to successfully make cold calls to identify new opportunities and create new company relationships
•Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university
