Los Angeles, CA - Variety, the most trusted source for the business of global entertainment, is hiring a Marketing Associate, Talent & Audience Development.
The Marketing Associate, Talent & Audience Development will play a key role in growing the event and programming side of the business as we continue to grow. This role has broad requirements including guest list management for both the domestic and international Variety franchises and sponsored events including research and creation of lists, communication with attendees, management of contact database, creation of face sheets, assignment of seats, on-site troubleshooting during check-in, hiring event staff and processing invoices.
Additionally, the Marketing Associate, Talent & Audience Development will support the talent team with logistics and coordination for events including booking cars, organizing logistics, collecting materials, greeting, and escorting speakers on-site.
Responsibilities will also include:
• Manage 50% of guest lists for domestic and international Variety franchise and sponsored events including: Research and creation of lists, communication with attendees, management of contact database, creation of face sheets, assignment of seats, on-site troubleshooting during check-in, hiring event staff by working with a staffing agency and processing invoices.
• Manage calendars for the CEO and COO
• Research and maintain calendar of competitive events
• Work closely with other departments such as marketing, design, sales, photography, video and editorial as event details are confirmed
• Assist onsite at all events as check-in lead
• Assist in audience and contact list maintenance (voters, publicist, corporate communications)
• Oversee event programming document and internal events checklist document
• Support the talent team with logistics and coordination for events including booking cars, organizing logistics, collecting materials, greeting and escorting speakers on-site. Track the talent budget for each event and process invoices after
