The Managing Director Brand Marketing & EP Variety Content Studio will helm a dynamic team dedicated to crafting innovative partnership programs that span across our comprehensive product ecosystem, which include our branded content studio. As the primary “storyteller-in-chief,” the Managing Director will chart the course for groundbreaking ideas, pioneering activations, and strategic launch opportunities that spotlight and propel Variety’s product roadmap along with our digital sales and pitch strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a team of skilled brand marketers and producers.
• Manage the Variety Content Studio which produces branded entertainment and sponsored video editorial.
• Design and execute unique partnership programs integrating video, print, and digital media.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects from concept through production, ensuring they meet expectations of quality and impact.
• Craft compelling proposals that clearly convey the value and uniqueness of our offerings.
• Manage project budgets efficiently while overseeing invoicing and fiscal practices.
• Maintain direct and proactive communication with clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring outstanding service.
• Collaborate closely with the Variety editorial team to ensure all content is aligned with Variety’s editorial voice and standards.
• Ensure that all assets are delivered on time and are of the highest quality.
• Work extensively with external vendors and partners to meet project demands and expectations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in product marketing and brand marketing, with a strong background in video production.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing teams of project managers, brand managers, and production coordinators.
• Demonstrated ability to create and lead award-winning campaigns and engaging storytelling for both endemic and global consumer brands.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Adept at budget management and comfortable making crucial financial decisions.
• Strong understanding of the media landscape and digital content trends.

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture
Typical wage range: $130k - $150k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
