Do you want the inside track on all the shows going into production? Do you enjoy collaborating and networking? Then you will love being part of VBI's team as a Coordinator researching TV & Digital physical production! This role is located in our Los Angeles office.
Role:
Variety Business Intelligence is seeking a TV Production Research Coordinator to work within its namesake flagship research & data solution, VarietyInsight.com, to research, collect and enter television and digital physical production data. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Variety Business Intelligence.
VarietyInsight.com is a subscriber based website product that provides comprehensive development and production information across television, film and digital entertainment to the entertainment industry. Variety Insight provides verified, timely, and accurate metadata around people, projects, and companies that work in the global entertainment business and offers significant growth opportunity for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities:
Researching television and digital projects in development and on the air/streaming with surrounding production metadata, including shoot dates, shoot locations and appropriate contacts, as well as data entry
Leveraging existing relationships and building new relationships to verify and enhance website content
Ensuring overall accuracy and data integrity of information surrounding the production of television and digital entertainment content on the Variety Insight website
Entering data for episode guides for digital streaming series
Working collaboratively with Variety Insight team members
Contributing ideas for innovation and product enhancements.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
At least two years of experience in the entertainment industry either through a full time position, or part time positions at various production companies, agencies and studios
Superior interpersonal skills and ability to network
Strong understanding of online entertainment industry information resources
An eye for detail and passion for the minutiae surrounding the industry
A love of information and ''grids''
Excellent software application skills across Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Drive
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
A positive attitude, collaborative spirit and friendly disposition
