Operations Manager, MRC Data (formerly known as Nielsen Music)
Oversees process/system ideation, testing, and implementation for their respective area.
Job Responsibilities
• Manages execution of processes / procedures to ensure delivery timeliness and quality
• Creates / manages capacity plan for processes managed
• Schedules associate time, minimizes overtime
• Works to ensure productivity plans are delivered as defined
• Ensures associates execute role as defined
• Support a ''root cause'' culture to ensure that a true resolution is achieved for all performance incidents identified
• Manages escalations and emergencies to ensure business continuity
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures, escalation policies, business policies
• Communicates and executes organizational vision
• Manages talent
• Rewards and celebrates achievement, addresses poor performance
• Works across organization to ensure organizational execution
• Ensures alignment with other Nielsen organizations
• Responsible for day-to-day management of the assigned products and projects, including: supervision of production staff, quality assurance, and coordination & communication with clients
• Manages associates goals/expectations, performance reviews, performance Improvement
• Work with Delivery Lead(s) to identify / implement new procedures
• Work with Delivery Lead(s) to analyze performance data and brainstorm improvement opportunities
• Plans if necessary, company/department objectives and missions, coaching and day-to-day interaction as to the progress of the group and the individual associate and promote positive team work
• Participates in the development and establishment of policies, plans, schedules and procedures for the department
• Drives stakeholder engagement and collaboration of cross-functional teams including Product Leadership, Technology, Commercial, etc.
• Support on-call rotations or off-shift availability as required by the business
• Oversight of UAT process, ensuring successful implementation
Role Requirements
• 4 year college degree and/or relevant work experience
• 6 years related experience with 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity; preferably in a market research or syndicated information products/company
• Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Hangouts, G )
• Strong human relation skills (verbal and written) are necessary to interact with department personnel, management, and clients
• Ability to identify problems, determine root cause(s) & make recommendations to resolve with some supervision
• Have knowledge of more than one functional area and supply chain dependencies within the Nielsen Company
• Identifies opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, including making suggestions to improve department processes
• Maintains composure when under stress, makes ethical decisions in line with the business values and objectives
• Accepting of others' views
• Perceived as a leader by others, persuades and negotiates effectively, focuses on win-win outcomes

• Some travel required (1-2 times a year)
