The role:
Valence Media is looking for a talented IT Manager . In this role, you will work very closely with the VP of IT, and lead a team of Desktop Support engineers through project execution, collaboration and communication. We are looking for candidates with a strong IT background, and a proven track record in management.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the reliability of networks, systems, hardware, data infrastructure and key software applications
• Manage the full spectrum of IT implementations and needs of the organization
• Oversee the desktop support IT team and ensure adequacy of technology capabilities across the organization
• Work closely with the company's executive team to set planning and proper project roll-out & execution
• Oversee management of support tickets through our issue tracking system
• Create and facilitate robust, ongoing training for our IT staff on all supported applications and support best practices
• Respond to feedback and build a culture of partnership and service
Required Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Excellent knowledge of major OS's (Macos, Windows), Network ( Cisco), Software (Office, Adobe, AD, …), Cloud (AWS, Azure) and Virtualization
• Good knowledge of Disaster Recovery / Backups / Business Continuity
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize and communicate effectively with non-technical users
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience developing communication plans
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Experience developing systems that improve the team's work quality and efficiency
• Proven ability to create and execute complex, detailed project plans affecting many stakeholders
• Growth mindset and interest in giving and receiving feedback with the goal of constantly improving
• Excellent effectiveness strategies (organization, time management, and follow-up skills)
• Willingness to perform hands-on work as well as assisting in strategic projects
• Results & detail-oriented and committed to operational excellence
• Self-sufficient with the ability to ask questions and request help when needed
