MRC Data is recruiting a Manager in Data Analysis based in our Beverly Hills, CA office. The ideal candidate for this role will work with prominent music clients and our internal Analytics and Data Science teams to deliver customized insights utilizing several raw data signals. This individual contributor role will create and grow long term engagement and relationships across the client team. This will be accomplished by delivering actionable music insights and recommendations that are aligned to client strategic business priorities and work toward client and MRC financial goals.
What you will do:
• Organize and distill raw data into actionable insights for client delivery
• Actively position capabilities with client to ensure MRC Data is a vital element of decision-making process on planning, buying, execution, and measurement
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with key client decision makers and internal/external partners
• Craft and present narratives that engage and excite the audience
• Essential thought partner to clients – solves client business issues and viewed as an extension of client's team
• Identify revenue growth opportunities and coordinate business development effort
• Manage and consistently deliver on projects/requests requiring cross-functional alignment
• Navigate a multi-layered leadership organization, successfully working with technical team, operations, finance, legal and marketing
• Proactively resolve client issues by engaging other MRC support groups as needed
• Align with MRC Data vision for overall revenue plan including renewal and fulfillment of contracted revenue
• Build technical and operational project management strategy for contract execution
• Train clients on MRC tools to ensure saturation among client business units and deliver industry updates
Experience and Skills:
• 2 to 4 years experience in an analytical and/or client-facing role
• Process-driven mindset with proven aptitude for data and business analytics
• Self-directed, motivated, and able to handle multiple responsibilities and work flexibly and fast in a changing environment
• Skilled in analytical and consultative traits, with a proven track record of delivering value-added analytical insights to a client
• Advanced Data Management and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills
• Preferred understanding of SQL language & API process/workflow
• Comfortable with presenting and public speaking, and equipped with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly, dynamic, solid networker comfortable operating at all levels
• Maintains meticulous attention to detail
• Regional and domestic travel for as much as 10% of time in role
• University degree in related field; MBA preferred
• Enthusiasm for music a must; music business/ecosystem experience a plus
