Job Title: Marketing Intern
Internship Start Date/Season: Summer - May-August
Internship Duration: 3-4 months
Time/Days Required: Coordinated monthly in-person meeting. Must be available Tuesdays weekly for virtual call. 10-20 hours per week expected, though it is important to understand this work is project-based that relies on satisfactory completion of assignments.
Workplace Requirements: Hybrid. Most work can be done remotely but must be available to meet in-person once a month minimum. Can also coordinate in-person times for assistance with videography if needed.
Compensation: Unpaid, college credit required
Valelise LLC is a rising publisher in the literary industry. We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team for the Summer semester. As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute marketing strategies to promote a published book across various social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive marketing plan tailored to promote the book across social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
Create engaging content including but not limited to graphics, videos, and written posts to attract and engage our target audience.
Manage and maintain social media accounts by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and monitoring analytics to track the effectiveness of campaigns.
Collaborate with the author and other team members to brainstorm creative marketing ideas and initiatives.
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships for promoting the book.
Assist in organizing and promoting events and other promotional activities.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
Experience using content creation apps such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and Capcut.
Aware of content trends to boost engagement.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
A portfolio demonstrating skillset in social media or marketing campaigns
Previous work experience in marketing or social media management is a plus but not required.
