Description
We are currently seeking Stagehands to join our team for live productions.
Responsibilities
• Will assist show crews with load/unloading, uncasing, and transporting show equipment to the stage or designated area. Before, during, and after the show.
• Must work efficiently under numerous constraints.
• Familiarity with set design, lighting, and sound a plus.
• Responsible for set up, operation and dismantle of entertainment related equipment properly and safely.
Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in Stagehand, A/V, production, theatrical, or related fields.
• General knowledge of methods & problems related to production; Familiar with basic stage directions, terminology, equipment and materials.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Advanced knowledge and proven skill in two of the following: carpentry, video, lighting, sound or rigging.
• Ability to follow verbal & written directions/instructions.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
• OSHA 10 required.
Preferred
• Previous Forklift, Boom lift and/or Scissor lift experience & certifications.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
• Part-time work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Lift/move objects weighing 10 to 50 lbs, occasionally 75 lbs
• Work in potentially adverse conditions, which may include heights, loud noises, large crowds, darkness and/or confined spaces
• Must be comfortable with maneuvering forward/backward, up/down stairs and/or ladders.
