This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Locations: Salt Lake City and Sandy, UT
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Facilities Project Management Intern to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various facility-related projects throughout. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, an eye for design, and a collaborative spirit to work alongside project managers, departments, key stakeholders, leaders, and vendors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project Coordination: Support the project team in developing plans and schedules. Assist in coordinating resources and activities to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks to ensure all work meets safety standards and project specifications. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to minimize project delays.
• Communication Facilitation: Act as a liaison among internal departments, contractors, and external partners. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project progress, updates, and any issues that may arise.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including management, staff, and external partners. Prepare and present updates on project status, milestones, and risks.
• Daily Task Support: Assist the team with daily operational tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing project documentation, tracking progress, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth project execution and team collaboration.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to employee safety within all projects. Promote a culture of safety and risk management within the organization.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Previous administrative support/project coordination experience.
• Previous facilities experience preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Available for a flexible schedule, some nights or weekends may be needed.
• Experience with Office and Google Suite products.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong follow through and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, dependability, collaboration, and respect.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 25lbs. occasionally.
