PR Game Night Staff (Part Time)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Jazz PR department is looking for hardworking and dependable individuals with an interest in the communications field to serve as members of our game night staff. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in the professional sports industry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet media at the press entrance, distribute credentials and ensure all media members are aware of their seat location and any other pertinent information
• Distribute stats and other information before, during and after the game
• Assist with setting up and maintaining media seating and workspace areas
• Record and transcribe pre and postgame quotes from coaches and players
• Assist Jazz PR staff and media members with miscellaneous assignments as needed
• Protect the reputation of the company
• Exemplify the Utah Jazz mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
• Accept other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled senior or junior undergraduate or recent graduate with a major in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Sports Management or a related field
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with the Utah Jazz and the NBA
• Available to work nights/weekends (approximately 4:45 pm - 11 pm) for the entirety of the NBA season which runs from October through as late as mid-June
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
