The Utah Jazz are looking for a Graphic Designer to join their creative team. Working under the direction of the Art Director, this position will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing brand materials and campaigns for use across all brand touch points, including on court, in and outside the arena, social channels, and more. This role will collaborate with other members of the creative team to create both printed and digital assets throughout the season and offseason. Our ideal candidate is technically sound, passionate, hard-working and detail oriented, and is knowledgeable in the latest trends and practices in graphic design. Each candidate must provide a design portfolio for review.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Conceptualize and execute designs for various brand assets, ensuring consistency across digital, print, social media, in-game, and event materials.
• Help to develop and work within the brand language, while simultaneously pushing the guidelines when and where appropriate.
• Design and execute creative for marketing campaigns, sponsorship activations, ticket sales, merchandise, and community initiatives.
• Work closely with the Design Leadership Team (Sr. Brand Director, Art Director, and Sr. Designers), as well as other designers to develop and implement new ideas.
• Manage design timelines, understand processes and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Stay ahead of design trends within and outside of sports marketing best practices. Be familiar with emerging technologies to keep the brand competitive.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4-year degree in graphic design or related field.
• 2-4 years applied design-related experience, or a body of work that reflects an equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in designing within cohesive brand systems, layout design, typography, photo editing, and print, with a strong eye for detail.
• High level of taste with a knowledge base of references from art, design, sports and culture.
• Strong communicator who collaborates effectively with the leadership team, creative team, and clients. Proactively identifies potential issues before they arise and clearly articulates needs and upcoming milestones.
• Strong decision-making, leadership, and planning skills.
• Able to execute visual direction from the Art Director and Sr. Brand Director while collaborating seamlessly with designers, motion designers, editors, and videographers.
• Speed and proficiency with current Adobe Creative Suite on MacOS (Figma is a plus.)
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work well on quick turnarounds and short deadlines.
