The Director of Premium Seating is a service and experience leader with oversight of Utah Jazz and Smith Entertainment Group Premium Seating assets. This position is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives that fulfill the department business plan and support organizational objectives. This leader will assist in the development of client experience and retention strategies in coordination with the department Vice President and be responsible for the implementation thereof with a team of account management members. Through innovation and accountability, the Director will lead and mentor their department to drive the retention of hospitality suites, VIP clubs and other Premium Seating accounts to achieve annual business plan targets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate regularly with the Vice President to advance the overall strategic direction of the Premium Seating department
• Direct within the stewardship of the department business plan while mentoring and holding staff accountable to their individual and team goals
• Exemplify and cultivate a culture of inclusion, diversity, transparency and continuous development
• Identify and implement strategic initiatives to grow department revenue, minimize expenses and improve operational efficiencies
• Hire, manage, and train Premium Seating account managers to become experts in business retention with an unwavering commitment to obtaining the highest levels of customer service
• Maintain and cultivate key client partnerships while working to continually develop innovative
experiences to drive retention
• Engage with staff members on sales and service appointments providing leadership, mentorship
and strategic direction as needed
• Conduct one-on-one meetings regularly with direct reports to establish and evaluate goals,
ensuring that department metrics are being attained
• Position may include key responsibilities within the Premium Seating club spaces including the planning and execution of private club events and trips
• Exemplify world-class service through personal efforts while coaching others to do the same
• Coordinate with key internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, Partnership Success and
• Experience, Membership and Business Development to develop and drive strategic sales and service initiatives companywide
• Lead weekly meetings with team members, encouraging them to be their best selves
• Support the building of a diverse culture that enriches the lives of our employees, customers, partners and communities
• Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent training and experience
• Minimum of three years of experience with a background in sponsorship/ticket sales or related field
• One to two years successfully managing a sales and/or service team preferred
• Must be proficient in database applications (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM), as well as other Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of ticketing software a plus
• Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
