The Director, USO Show Troupe is responsible for managing all aspects of the USO Show Troupe including: 1) team and people management, 2) client communications, 3) music management, 4) administration, and 5) fundraising. Candidate must be a self-starter, highly-organized, enthusiastic multi-tasker, comfortable working in a dynamic environment and a strong manager of people.
The position will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with the programs, brand advancement, development and finance & administration teams.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Generate revenues consistent with annual budget.
• Actively pursue relationships with new sponsors and donors and steward current and past client relationships.
• Prepare client proposals for individual, federated, and corporate partners and supporters.
• Manage and direct all aspects of show production.
• Manage, recruit and retain between 40 and 60 professional entertainers.
• Arranging and overseeing approximately 350 performances per year.
• Lead and conduct auditions, rehearsals, and ongoing professional development opportunities for performers.
• Administer program and performer expenses; client billing; payroll; internal reporting and for USO, Inc.; and maintain multiple
databases.
• Responsible for delivering detailed call sheets to each performer for each performance.
• Collaborate with brand advancement to develop and implement marketing collateral and strategies.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to motivate, lead and manage entertainment professionals.
• Skilled and experienced in entertainment management and sponsor activation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation and public speaking.
• Highly organized and extremely attentive to detail.
• Computer literacy essential.
• Available to travel and remain on-call during all productions.
