USA Baseball Trackman Operator (Multiple Positions)
Duration: JUNE – AUGUST 2024
The Trackman Operator position is a part-time/hourly position at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC. Multiple candidates to be hired.
Position Reports to: Coordinator, Baseball Administration
Background: Trackman leverages industry leading 3D Doppler radar technology to capture the most comprehensive and accurate ball tracking data in the game. Trackman data is used for player evaluation and development by all 30 Major League clubs as well as the majority of teams in other international professional leagues (Nippon Professional Baseball Organization, Korea Baseball Organization, Chinese Professional Baseball League, etc.) and many of the top collegiate baseball programs.
USA Baseball is seeking highly focused, motivated, and detail oriented candidates to serve as Trackman Stringers/Operators, specifically responsible for running the Trackman system for all games at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC. The number of games each operator works varies by week based on availability and particular program schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for setting up rosters and tagging all game information in the Trackman system.
• Log information for the entire game; monitoring the system and making any changes throughout the game (i.e., roster changes, defensive substitutions, etc.).
• Troubleshoot system issues with Coordinator, Baseball Administration, and/or Trackman support, fixing any errors, and uploading the data to the Trackman cloud upon completion.
• Maintain Trackman equipment required for tagging.
Qualifications:
• Candidate must be motivated, well organized, and detail oriented.
• A firm understanding of baseball is required.
• Previous experience using Trackman software is preferred but not required.
• Must be available to mornings, some nights, and weekends as the schedule dictates. 10-30 hours / week depending on schedule and availability.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A completion of a successful background check is required prior to employment.
