The Intern, Baseball Operations positions support multiple USA Baseball programs, including the 12U, 15U, 18U, Collegiate, and Women's National Teams, as well as the National Team Championships, Futures Invitational, National Team Development Programs (ADP/NTDP), and National Team Identification Series (NTIS).
Through this single application, USA Baseball will hire 5–7 interns to serve across the Baseball Operations department. Assignments will be determined based on each candidate's skills, interests, and availability during the interview process.
Position Details:
• Full-time hours (40 hours/week)
• Duration: March/April or May/June – August/September 2026 (start and end dates vary based on assignment)
• On-site work required (locations vary by assignment)
• Domestic travel involved in this position (all travel costs accrued during the duration on the internship are covered by USA Baseball)
In This Role:
As an Intern, Baseball Operations, you will gain immersive experience in sports operations, logistics, and event management while supporting USA Baseball's elite-level programming. You may:
National Team Operations:
• Assist with team logistics, including travel, meals, itineraries, and equipment for players, coaches, and staff.
• Provide administrative and operational support during team exposure for any National Teams and National Team Development Programs (ADP/NTDP).
• Assist coaching staffs with game preparation, data collection, and technology support.
• Manage player equipment inventory, uniforms, and laundry to ensure a professional environment for athletes and staff.
• Assist with player identification, rostering, reports, and data collection, cleaning, and organization.
• Assist with player & family communication for USA Baseball National Teams.
• Assist with preparing dugouts, bullpens, cages, and practice fields to align with National Team coaching staff needs and expectations.
• Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and provide administrative support for other USA Baseball events as assigned.
Tournament/Facility Operations:
• Provide administrative and operational support during events such as the National Team Championships, National Team Identification Series (NTIS), and Futures Invitational.
• Assist with event logistics, including travel, meals, itineraries, and equipment for participants, coaches, and staff.
• Coordinate registration, rosters, and participant communication for USA Baseball tournaments & events.
• Support tournament operations and serve as an on-site representative at assigned facilities.
• Collaborate with facility and grounds crew staff to ensure on-field readiness during training and competition.
• Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and provide administrative support for other USA Baseball events as assigned.

• You are highly organized with attention to detail and a passion for baseball operations.
• Physically capable of supporting event operations, including setup, teardown, and equipment handling (up to 50 lbs).
• You are a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and can quickly learn new software platforms (e.g., League Apps).
• You have professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You can manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• You are flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, during events.
• You are in pursuit of or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
• You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with baseball data and technology systems such as Trackman, GameChanger, etc.
• Experience working in sports operations, team travel, event management, or player services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with athletes, coaches, and staff.
