How do I hire an Intern - HBO/ Cinemax Sponsored Film Festival? Greetings, My name is Sophia Protopapas, Event and Human Resources Coordinator of the HBO/Cinemax-sponsored Urban Action Showcase and Expo (UASE). The UASE is the premier all-Action entertainment platform celebrating diversity and honoring the multicultural achievements within the blockbuster Action genre including Adventure, Fantasy, Grindhouse, Action Horror, Sci-Fi, and Supernatural content. The UASE is the only all-Action entertainment platform offering both fan and professional experiences through its International Action Film Festival, Expo and Distribution platforms.
Our 2019 event takes place on Saturday, November 9th at the AMC Empire 25 Theaters Times Square, NYC. This is a one day event. We will meet on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:30pm at AMC Theaters in Times Square to discuss roles and requirements.
Below is a list of assignments we need coverage for. Not to worry-- there will be a leader for each section and you will be paired off so you will never be alone.
The shift that is available is 7:30am-3:30pm. If you can do all day (until midnight, great!) This is a whole day event and we can use all the help we can. You will have breaks where you can go and enjoy the event as well as have lunch. If you are over 21, you will also be given an invite to the after party that night at a nearby venue!
Guide: Inform all patrons on the whereabouts of the event activities at the AMC Theaters for the Urban Action Showcase and Expo. You will also assist in the check-in table and break room.
Usher: Help with seating arrangements during the UAS Awards Show and screenings.
Facilities Crew: Assist with setting up and tearing down tables, chairs and signage at the beginning and end of event.
Floater: 'Float' in between any of the posts mentioned above, as needed.
We would appreciate your time and expertise to help make this event run as smoothly as possible.
