This is a Full Time Job
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE APPLYING! (Trust me, we'll know!)
First & Foremost, lets get the blunt part of the job post out of the way. We're looking for candidates who eat/sleep/breathe work. This is FURTHEST from a normal schedule. You're expected to respond to emails/texts/calls FAST and always remain one step ahead. Simply put, if you're not going to answer a text message from a client or a team member at 10:30pm on a Tuesday... don't bother applying. If you've been in or want to be in the entertainment business, you know that it's not the most respectful of boundaries.
Still interested? GOOD! Because this job is AWESOME!
This position is completely remote with the rest of the workforce based in time zones from coast to coast across the continental US, so flexibility in work hours and the understanding that this position will often require availability during early hours and late nights under a dynamic schedule is a must. This job reports directly to the CEO.
Qualified individuals must have precise, detailed-oriented organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and writing abilities. Individuals must have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, be an expert in ALL THINGS social media ... from video editing to graphic design, content strategy, an expert of all algorithms and the best client communicator/whisperer in the world.
Did we lose you, yet? If you're detail oriented, you'll email your resume and include your favorite comedian as the introduction to your email.
What WE Do:
In a nutshell, our company creates a unique online/social media/digital strategy to achieve specific goals & objectives per client. Clients are most often stand-up comedians & actors with the objective of growing their social presence, engaging their community, promoting their upcoming shows/tours, promote projects such as appearances, podcasts, movies, etc. We are an elite team of social media managers, graphic designers, video editors & web developers. We marry those goals/objectives against what's happening in social media and utilize the algorithm to our advantage for maximum visibility and engagement. The key to our success is efficiency; quality work completed as expeditiously as possible. We love what we do. We work hard and treat EVERY client as if they're our own client.
WHO do we work with? From Ken Jeong to Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Fortune Feimster to Jay Pharoah, Dan Cummins, Ali Siddiq & Beyond. We LOVE LOVE LOVE ourselves some comedy.
What YOU Will Do:
Graphic Design: Ideal candidate is savvy in both Canva & Adobe -- creativity comes natural to you and are able to create unique graphics for each client (in some cases with very minimal direction and in others, very specific instructions)
Video Editing: Ideal candidate is savvy in the editing room too -- no particular program of choice, but usually Adobe or FinalCut is what most of our team uses. Day-to-Day edits include cutting stand-up clips for use on socials + subtitle & key frame. The hardest part is having an eye to find the joke within the joke without it losing context, keyframing, the rest is gravy.
Project Management / Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as organizing content libraries (dropbox) for clients, helping build out content calendars and making sure we are two steps ahead for our clients.
Account Management: Plan/Post/Engage/Optimize Across all major social channels.
Research: Conduct research on specific topics, as requested by the executive, to provide relevant and timely information. Research may include identifying local influencers in a market, identifying trending sounds on social media, dance trends/challenges figuring out whats ''happening'' in pop culture, the box office, social media, etc; so that our creators can engage on whats ''trending''
Miscellaneous Tasks: Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
What You Need:
3+ years experience in Entertainment, Specifically Social Media / Video Editing & Graphic Design
Capable of managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to work in a dynamic and in a fast-paced environment
Can-do, positive attitude and willing to ''go the extra mile''
Critical attention to detail and highly organized
General business knowledge and interest in entertainment/comedy
HUGE opportunity for growth within the company.
If we still have you. Be sure to email your resume & don't forget to include your favorite comedian.
