Job Description
KLVE is looking for its next on-air star! Are you an experienced host/entertainer with a background in radio? Do you understand and respect the importance of music flow, and intuitively understand where you fit in? Can you do your content on-air without stopping the music? Can you engage fans in social media, on the phone, on the web, and in person? Great energy is a must! Understanding intuitively how much is enough, and when is too much is also mandatory! Duties and Responsibilities:
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Dedicate one hour of show-prep time daily.
• Ability to monitor and play music as scheduled.
• Ability to monitor liners, promos and run commercials as logged.
• Must review production assignments daily.
• Ability to accurately log discrepancies.
• Maintain format of station.
• Knowledge in maintaining studio equipment.
• Assist with coordination of on-air events.
• Monitor transmitter readings, and log in accordance with Univision Radio and FCC policies.
• Maintain open communication with staff.
• Maintain an engaging daily social media publishing schedule and online conversation with listeners.
• Abide by organizational norms and support organizational goals.
• Must remain calm and professional through stressful circumstances.
• Persist and finish projects under deadlines
• The ability to work closely with content managers
• Represent the station at community/station and sales events
• Ability to attend weekly air check sessions with Content Director
• Serve as backup for other on-air talent at KLVE or other stations as instructed by Content Director.
• Follow instructions and well-defined procedures to prevent mistakes.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
• Minimum of 5 years experience on AM /PM Drive in a major market
• Strong knowledge of Word and Outlook software packages.
• Understanding of Social Media strategies and proficiency in FB, Twitter, Instagram, on behalf of station
• Able to create content relevant to the lifestyle and interests of K-Love's audience.
• Technical knowledge of basic Radio equipment (operation of on air board)
• Requires ability to make personal appearances as directed by Content Director
• Requires knowledge of interviewing and developing rapport with guests and clients.
• Requires good verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Spanish language communications skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish.
Experience and Education:
• On-air experience with similar job responsibilities and requirements or equivalent broadcasting school experience.
• High School Graduate or equivalent experience on the field.
