Responsibilities
Role Summary
Works directly with the Manager, Western Region Publicity & Promotion in the management of regional field agencies and the development and execution of regional marketing activities for all Universal Pictures releases. Also provides administrative support to the SVP and VP, Global Publicity & Promotion.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to Manager, Western Region Publicity & Promotion.
• Provide additional support to SVP and VP, Global Publicity & Promotion, as needed.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to strategize publicity and promotion initiatives for all Universal films.
• Traffic film prints and pre-show content, and order anti-piracy security staff for all regional screenings.
• Book theaters, recruit audiences, maintain guest lists, and manage screening reps for Los Angeles and Orange County word-of-mouth & promotional screenings.
• Attend all Los Angeles word-of-mouth & promotional screenings, acting as a studio representative and submitting screening reports following each screening.
• Compile and proof screening reports for all Western region markets.
• Compile field agency reports for all Western region publicity and promotion activities.
• Compile and distribute daily press breaks.
• Assist Manager with press junket invitations, solicitation and compilation of press reactions, quotes and air/run dates from Western region press.
• Work local premiere, press junkets, creative content days and publicity events on evenings and weekends as needed.
• Occasional travel to regional markets to assist with event coordination and execution.
• Assist in the ideation and development of promotional items for all Universal films. Responsible for overseeing promo item orders and fulfillment for all Universal departments. Distribute promotional items to events in Los Angeles and Orange County.
• Research, pitch, plan, and execute all Los Angeles costume character appearances. Traffic costumes, book performer travel, and maintain master calendar for costume appearances throughout the Western region.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field
• 2 years of experience in the entertainment industry, preferably in marketing, publicity or promotions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
