UTA seeks an experienced Manager, Compensation to join our dynamic People team in our Beverly Hills office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compensation practices and will be responsible for creating and managing our company's compensation policies and programs. This role will recommend and administer compensation plans that are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and company goals and will assist with researching and evaluating alternative programs to help attract, retain and engage our employees. This role is critical in ensuring our compensation structures are competitive, equitable and aligned with our overall business goals. The role and will report to the SVP of Compensation and People Systems.
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do
• Manage day-to-day compensation requirements for our diverse businesses including market pricing, development of career ladders, role leveling, FLSA reviews, etc.
• Manage the annual merit and bonus planning process to include communications, planning cadence, setup of planning tool and communication of awards.
• Apply compensation principles and philosophy to establish and maintain key compensation programs to include salary structures, industry specific incentive plans, etc.
• Partner with Management and the People Team to develop, design & implement innovative compensation programs meeting current and future business needs and strategies.
• Actively seek market intelligence and industry-specific data to obtain in-depth understanding of pay and industry-specific compensation trends; inform and recommend solutions to ensure compensation programs are industry aligned and best in class; and build external network.
• Participate in and/or project manage cross-People Team initiatives and programs.
• Partner with the People Systems team on compensation systems development, implementation, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders/partners to continually improve compensation processes with focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
• Partner across the People Team, Legal, Finance and with other key stakeholders.
• Partner with the SVP to develop the overall Compensation function including future team development.
What You Will Need
• 7+ years of compensation experience including 2+ years of direct management and/or leading project teams.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Workday Compensation and Payscale strongly preferred.
• Proficiency at aligning compensation/HR strategies with business strategies.
• Proven experience in a diverse business environment.
• Ability to explain complex/technical issues effectively; strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• International Experience desired.
• Incentive compensation design and delivery highly desired.
• Strong relationship builder, conflict resolution skills, and persuasion/influencing skills including the ability to interact with all levels of leadership.
• Business-oriented mindset with an understanding of financial concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy and details.
• Strong aptitude for process design and continuous improvement.
