UTA seeks a Manager, People Business Partnerships with an emphasis on employee relations to join our team in the Los Angeles office. This individual will support two areas of the business, employee relations and people and business partnerships and will aid in driving the employee experience and overall culture of UTA.
The Manager partners closely with supervisors and department heads to strengthen team performance, nurture talent, and champion an exciting, progressive culture. We are seeking individuals who have deep technical expertise in employment law, strong commercial awareness, and the confidence to navigate both immediate operational needs and long-term organizational goals.
What You Will Do:
Business Partnership
• Manage processes to ensure employee engagement, commitment and inclusion while fostering on a culture that promotes collaboration across teams
• Support initiatives related to performance management, organizational design, and change management.
• Execute strategies to increase organization, team, and individual performance to improve business capabilities for assigned groups
• Serve as a major contributor and advocate to client groups, while promoting policies that support UTA business, employees and talent strategies
Employee Relations
• Conduct thorough investigations of complaints and other complex employee relations matters including preparing investigative reports
• Rapidly produce high-quality written communications that concisely analyze problems and recommends solutions
• Build constructive relationships with critical stakeholders to share information and influence change
• Prepare, track and maintain ER metrics and and assist with reports for senior management
What You Will Need:
• 3 years of structured investigative experience
• 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role as an investigator and/or generalist within the entertainment industry
• JD preferred but not required
• Exceptional communication skills, able to influence and coach leaders at all levels and build credibility quickly across departments.
• A creative mindset, able to contribute new ideas and see through to fruition
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
• Ability to thrive and seek opportunities for action in a fast-moving environment
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Highly self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-led approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• High level of integrity, objectivity discretion and emotional intelligence
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws as well as general Human Resources policies and procedures
• Ability to handle highly sensitive matters with compassion and equity
• Support and influence wellbeing strategies and programs that respond to the unique demands of a creative, fast-paced agency environment, fostering balance, resilience and sustainable performance
