United Talent Agency is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support our Publishing Business Affairs department in our New York office.
The position offers an opportunity to learn about business affairs, work with industry lawyers and executives and gain exposure to entertainment law in the Publishing industry. Candidates must have the ability to operate in a timely manner with a careful attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
This role will pay an annual base salary of $70,000 to $80,000
What You'll Do
• Drafting collaboration and foreign translation agreements
• Tracking and reviewing Publishing agreements and correspondence
• Phone management – answer and transfer calls, schedule & coordinate conference calls
• Calendar management – daily calendar management; update, cancel and confirm meetings. Scheduling and coordinate meetings, both in-office and online
• Expense reports – Prepare monthly expense reports for review & submit to accounting for approval
• Filing and managing all client/project files to make sure all folders are up to date
What You'll Need
• 2+ years experience reviewing and understanding contracts
• Previous experience within a law firm a plus
• Ability to liaise with key senior-level executives, external clients & partners
• Capable of managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with critical attention to detail
• Can-do, positive attitude and willing to ''go the extra mile''
• General business knowledge and interest in the publishing business
• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook, Word, & Internet research
