Business Affairs Attorney/Motion Pictures

This is a Full Time Job

United Talent Agency is seeking an Attorney for our Business Affairs/Motion Pictures Dept.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Work with the Business Affairs team in all aspects of the department's feature film activities
-Work on Writer, Director, Producer, Actor deals as well as Book and IP/Rights Acquisitions deals
-Work will include an emphasis on studio and independent film finance and distribution deals, including festival sales, domestic and foreign-presales, and int'l sales agency arrangements
• Work with the UTA finance & strategic planning group in connection with film ventures and backend modelling for clients

Requirements:
-California Bar admission
-Minimum 2-3 years at established LA or NY law firm with transactional entertainment or ''boutique'' feature film practice or comparable experience at a Major/Mini-Major Studio or Production/Financing Company

Position will report directly to Head of Business Affairs
Bonus: Discretionary
