UTA (United Talent Agency) is seeking an Assistant to support a Comedy Agent in their London office. This position involves various responsibilities related to show contracting, tour logistics, and supporting the Comedy department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Keep the booking system updated at all times
• Schedule meetings for the agent and manage booking schedules/diaries
• Proactively resolve inquiries or escalate them when needed
• Run ticket counts for all tours
• Contract shows efficiently and accurately
• Manage financials for shows, including chasing payments and deposits
• Procure availability from venues and assist with tour routing
• Compare and check show offers and present them to management
• Coordinate tour on-sales, ensure artists have correct ticket links, and update promoters with assets
• Keep client information up to date, including bio, images, release dates, and pitch decks
• Manage festival and show guest lists and assist management with requests
• Collect support suggestions from agents and present them to client management
• Chase and check settlements, approve statements for final settlement with the client
• Assist with immigration needs for artists traveling to the UK, including filing forms and managing sponsorship certificates
• Attend shows and meetings to develop business relationships
Requirements:
• General understanding of the comedy industry and talent agency operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and discretion when handling sensitive client matters
• Ability to prioritize a busy workload and build business relationships
• Previous experience in a related field is desirable
