This is a Full Time Job
UTA's Production Arts department is looking for an Agent to join their growing team in London. The person in this role will be responsible for growing the careers of Directors of Photography, Producers, Production and Costume Designers, Editors, and other key department heads, as well as signing new talent to our roster.
The role will be located in our London office.
What You Will Do
• Grow and develop a network of key industry players, including production companies and financiers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of major film and television projects in the UK
• Negotiate deals and contracts for our clients
• Build relationships with up-and-coming talent to source new clients
• Provide career advice and strategy to our clients when needed
• Constant communication with producers about their hiring needs, especially for projects about to start production
• Keep in touch with clients about how their careers are progressing
• Maintaining regular meetings with production companies and producers to ensure complete knowledge of the industry
• Read scripts to have an opinion on whether an opportunity would be right for our clients
• Set visits when appropriate
• Consume and distribute press and reviews related to our clients
• Attend screenings and award ceremonies when necessary
What You Will Need
• 3+ years of experience as an Agent or Assistant on a busy desk
• Agency or management company experience is necessary
• Prior experience in Production Arts is great, but production-adjacent experience (i.e. Motion Pictures or Television) will also be considered
• Passion for reading trades and relevant industry publications
• A general knowledge of the production landscape in the UK and Europe, including the upcoming shows that will need to be staffed
• Exposure to entertainment unions, guilds and their contracts
• Some travel may be required
