Job Title: Director, Marketing and Distribution Finance
Job Location: West Hollywood, CA, US
We currently have an opening for a Director, Marketing and Distribution Finance in our growing office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to pivot to a true leadership role while interacting with people from all departments within the company.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for theatrical print and advertising budgets; include building overall P&A plans, cash flow forecast, budget to actuals analysis, etc.
• Manage the continued development of the financial frameworks in place
• Work hands on with both Finance and Accounting functions including handing AP/AR
• Develop and deploy training materials for new system implementations
• Drive regular meetings with key marketing business leads to understand moving spend requirements for forecast accuracy while building professional relationships with department heads and senior leaders in the company
• Create reports based on preferences and standards from parent companies and other key
• Production and review of accruals for quarterly close and ownership of month-end procedures
• Approve purchase orders, payment requests, and other various procurement needs
• Collaborate with Business Affairs to understand contractual terms for all Marketing & Distribution vendor agreements
• Liaise with third party partners for their reporting needs and requirements
• Support business functions on improvements in operations and business processes
Education & Experience:
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to confidently direct the work of others
• Experience with managing Finance and Accounting aspects of multiple projects in real time
• Proven capability to conduct costs analysis, project assessment and demonstrate presentation skills upon implementation of new procedures
• Shown ability to take initiative, handle multiple projects, grasp new concepts
• Strong communication skills, ability to problem solve and sense of urgency with deadlines
• Previous experience with marketing teams or project management
• Strong analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong IT skills and system savvy
• Keen interest in Entertainment Finance
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of direct supervision experience with proven record of leadership, resourcefulness and professional approach to trouble shooting
• Knowledge and use of sophisticated ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, SAP or Great Plains
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint a must
