About the Film
Actual Nobodies is a 90-minute indie dramedy with heart, humor, and a rich visual tone. Joyce, a middle-aged romantic, rents a room in her home to Anthony, a 20-something gay man recently estranged from his family. What begins as an awkward pairing evolves into a poignant and humorous exploration of intergenerational connection, loneliness, and healing.

Visually, think Harold and Maude meets My Own Private Idaho, with the nostalgic, sun-drenched tones of Call Me By Your Name, Aftersun, The Way Way Back, and The Holdovers.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a collaborative, scrappy DP who thrives in intimate, resourceful environments and can help us elevate the visual storytelling within tight constraints. Ideal candidates will have:

Experience with character-driven narrative films

A strong visual sensibility and references aligned with the director's lookbook

Willingness to wear multiple hats when needed

Access to camera gear or the ability to help secure an equipment deal (camera rental budget is $3600, excluding G&E)

A positive, solutions-oriented attitude and ability to work with a lean crew - ideally you have crew contacts

Passion for storytelling with a clear visual voice

What We Offer
$264/day for 14 paid days (10 shoot, 3 prep, 1 wrap)

Backend points in a project with commercial potential

A chance to collaborate with a producing team whose last feature had a theatrical release and was acquired by a major streaming platform

A beautiful, emotional script with festival and sales potential
