About the role
TXL Films has an exciting opportunity for a VFX Generalist to join our growing team!
We are looking for a Generalist with a strong foundation of knowledge in 3D Computer Generated Imagery Creation, displaying a high degree of proficiency across multiple areas such as modeling, procedural geometry and scene assemblies, lighting, texturing, shading/look development, FX, matte painting, animation and rendering.
Responsibilities
• Using artistic and technical skills to work on all aspects of CG shots including modeling, shading, texturing, lighting and rendering.
• Creating models, textures and photo-realistic digital matte paintings.
• Lighting and scene assembly for other shots or assets as required, such as characters and animation.
• Working with the VFX Supervisor and other VFX artists to develop the look of the shot.
• Communicating regularly with production regarding schedules and deadlines, as well as providing aesthetic feedback when needed.
• Working alongside other departments to ensure that shots are delivered to the highest possible standard.
What we're looking for
• Must have experience and competency in Houdini and Nuke.
• Experience in any of the following a definite plus: unreal engine, photoshop, match move (3Dequalizer, pftrack, syntheyes, etc.), photogrammetry, pipeline TD (technical director), Blender, Cinema 4D, python programming, speedtree, texturing, and Maya.
• Successful candidates must possess a solid grasp on the foundations of art, a willingness to solve problems, and the ability to take a shot from start to finish.
