Vice President, Publicity sought by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation in Los Angeles, CA to be responsible for directing and managing all high profile international publicity and promotional campaigns on both trade show and consumer levels. Liaise with talent reps and filmmakers with regards to their respective film's international publicity campaign strategy. Conceive and implement strategic publicity and promotional plan. Write product press releases. Interface with talent, outside PR agencies and freelancers. Liaise with the international distributors on all their publicity needs to include tours, junkets, set visits, film festivals and long lead access. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Oversee 2 lower-level subordinates consisting of Publicists.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in any field, plus five (5) years of publicity management or related experience directing and managing high profile international publicity and promotional campaigns within the entertainment industry,
In lieu of Bachelor's degree and 5 years of publicity management or related experience directing and managing high profile international publicity and promotional campaigns within the entertainment industry, will accept seven (7) years of publicity management or related experience directing and managing high profile international publicity and promotional campaigns within the entertainment industry.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in: 1) Planning and executing all aspects of international press strategy; 2) Knowledge of international media, including print, broadcast and online; 3) Experience working the international film festivals; 4) Experience touring internationally with leading film-makers and talent; 5) Managing international press activities including directing junkets and international press tours; 6) Liaising with journalists, international broadcasters and bloggers in order to generate film publicity; 7) Writing press releases and pitching films; and 8) Building and maintaining relationships with talent reps, PR firms, festivals, leading media and TV shows.
