Summer 2020 - Corporate Communications Intern (NYC)
The Team
The Corporate Communications team focuses on external and internal brand communications, telling the story of WarnerMedia and its brands in partnership with creative, social, marketing and PR teams across the company.
The Job
• Writing and copy editing internal and external communications storytelling initiatives including award submissions, briefing documents, and event collateral
• Research for department media lists and editorial calendars, including corporate events and awards, and sponsorship/partnership activations
• Media/competitor monitoring and reporting including newsletter development
• Provide support with event planning/staffing and logistics for internal and external events
• Assist with photo/video production
• Assist with compiling web and social analytics - Communications administrative tasks as needed
The Essentials
• Ideal candidate is an undergraduate student (junior or senior) or graduate student who is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing skills.
• Experience writing for different formats (news, blogs, social media, video, etc.) with different styles (formal, conversational, comedy, etc.).
• Working knowledge of AP Style. Experience with Cision and other PR monitoring tools a plus.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word. PowerPoint, Excel)
• Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects), Adobe Analytics, Drupal experience is a plus.
• Writing samples of your published content are a big plus!
