The Job
OD Consultant (News & Sports/Sales & Distribution)
The Daily
• Helping to deliver overall OD Strategy aligning and working with OD Lead and HR BP's
• Organizational Design - advising and consulting on the most effective way to achieve strategy/goals through org structure
• Leadership Development - leveraging appropriate learning solutions, working closely with the OD Lead and Learning team (including Executive Coaching)
• Inclusion and Belonging - building greater awareness around diversity and inclusion in all initiatives and interventions, as well as cascading and reinforcing enterprise-wide D&I initiatives into client groups
• Culture - utilizing mechanisms to support and promote culture change; working closely with the OD Lead/culture team to help embed and translate culture initiatives
• Change Management - helping organizations, teams and leaders to create a framework to smoothly transition into new ways of working, operating, and interacting.
• Team Effectiveness - Working with teams to improve and create clarity around goals, roles, process and interpersonal relationships; aligning team attitudes and behaviors to the BU Strategy (e.g. Offsites and team workshops to define and communicate purpose, strategy, etc.)
The Essentials
• A good OD toolbox that can be leveraged effectively and when fit for purpose
• Facilitation - an excellent facilitator that can handle group dynamics with confidence
• Coaching experience - ideally including certification in assessment debriefs (personality/360s)
• Diagnostic skills - growing ability to identify an issue and the appropriate solution (leveraging their toolbox)
• Instructional design - the ability to customize and tailor existing content or develop new content when existing tools don't exist
• Communication - excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Models behaviors of our new WM Culture
