Full Time Unpaid Internship
Would you like to work for a leading global media organisation? Are you a team player who can work efficiently to tight deadlines? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We are currently recruiting a Programming & Acquisitions Intern to join the Programming team in Paris.
In Europe, Middle East and Africa, Turner currently broadcasts 69 channels in 20 languages to 125 countries. It is headquartered in London and operates local offices across the region. The brand portfolio includes EMEA's number one international news brand CNN International as well as Turner's leading kids brands, Cartoon Network – home of global hit animation series such as The Amazing World of Gumball and Boomerang, featuring timeless classics such as Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes.
The intern will collaborate with the two executives in charge of Programs & Programming for the French kids' channels (Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Boing & Toonami)
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Acquisitions & Programmes:?
• Assisting in evaluation of projects and new shows
• Assisting in the editorial validation of dubbing
• Helping on follow-up of potential acquisitions & negotiations
• Organising, participate and follow up on meetings with producers and distributors
• Sourcing content for special projects
Programming:
• Preparing the documents relating to ratings analysis
• Monitoring competition (schedules and on-air branding) both on linear and non-linear
• Collecting performance data of our nonlinear services
• Monitoring nonlinear services and our programs on web
• Preparing internal presentation of new shows, new seasons & monthly highlights
Knowledge and experience required
Essential:
• Confidence in written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of common business software (Excel, Word)
• Interest in kids' content
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently within deadlines in a team environment
• Dynamic and motivated
Desirable:
• Education in Media Management would be a plus
