The Job
As HBO Max's first HR Intern you'll be able to explore many areas of human resources including but not limited to employee relations, compliance, HRIS systems, welcoming new hires, assisting with company events, benefits and helping build company culture.
The Daily
• Provide administrative support in the development and delivery of HR solutions, programs and processes including data gathering, data integration and basic interpretation or analysis.
• Support real-world projects related to recruitment, learning & development, onboarding, and/or survey design and analysis (project assignment depends on what is happening on the roadmap during that semester).
• Compile, create and maintain accurate HR documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Manage employee engagement. This involves working with employees and managers to determine employee effectiveness and satisfaction. Use tools and resources to measure engagement and recommend and implement action.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires.
• Prepare and send welcome materials to all new hires.
• Assist with keeping people operations records organized and up-to-date, including org charts, employee files, templates etc.
• Create PowerPoint presentations to be utilized with all levels of the organization

• Unflappable and thick-skinned, with the personal fortitude to push back when necessary.
• Experience with Google Suites and proficient in Excel.
• Strong interest in working in a fast-paced Tech startup environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.

The Fall 2020 program dates are October 19th through December 4th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on team/bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college . Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
