We are looking for a detail-oriented and financially adept professional to manage our royalty processing and financial analysis. This role is crucial for the success of our licensing agreements and revenue management from our extensive music catalog.
Schedule: Part time; hours defined per engagement, during business hours.
Location: On site - Midtown West, New York City.
Pay: $31 - $36 per hour.
Responsibilities
• Royalty management: Implement and maintain comprehensive royalty processing systems to ensure accurate reporting and timely payments.
• Financial analysis: Analyze licensing agreements and royalty statements to assess financial performance and identify revenue opportunities.
• Accounts receivable oversight: Manage invoicing and collections, ensuring that all payments are accurately processed and recorded.
• Contract compliance: Monitor and audit contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms and obligations.
• Stakeholder reporting: Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, providing insights into financial trends and royalty metrics.
Requirements
• Finance or accounting degree: Strong preference for candidates with a background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Music business income streams: Must have a command of the range of music business income streams and how royalties are calculated.
• Analytical skills: Ability to perform financial calculations and create reports.
• Attention to detail: Must be meticulous with contractual and financial details.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Software proficiency: Experience with royalty accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Salary/Benefits
$31 - $36 per hour, commensurate with experience. Part time; hours defined per engagement.
