Senior Financial Analyst
Broadcast Finance - LA
Reports to: Director of Accounting
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the day-to-day general accounting functions and the financial management of Tribune Studios and WGN America. This position reports to the Director of Accounting.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statement, including variance explanations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, adjustments and reversing JE's.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Identify and resolve related issues.
• Prepare quarterly and yearly requests from Management and Corp.
• Review and code vendor invoices.
• Track and review P-Card purchasing activity.
• Talent payroll processing
• Assist with internal, external and SOX audits.
• Prepare adhoc analyses and work on special projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferable.
• 3-5 years accounting experience.
• Entertainment industry experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to identify accounting issues and properly address their treatment.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.
• Strong system skills. High proficiency in general ledger systems.
• Must be team player, detail oriented and self-starter with ability to work independently.
