Intern - Volunteer Department

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENT of the Tribeca Film Festival is looking for creative, hardworking and responsible college students or recent grads ('09, '10) with a strong interest in volunteering, film festivals, and/or event planning for the 2011 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL.

The Volunteer Department oversees the recruitment and management of all the people who volunteer during the Tribeca Film Festival. The department works to create an exciting and comfortable experience for all the festival's more than 1500 annual volunteers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Interns will assist the Volunteer Department with various administrative duties and miscellaneous projects. Such duties will include database entry, volunteer correspondence (via phone and emails), running errands, assisting with orientation sessions, running information tables, and any other office tasks as needed.

Intern MUST BE AVAILABLE to participate during the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival to be held from April 20th to May 1st.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be:
• Computer literate (MS Office & Excel)
• Internet and phone friendly
• Detail oriented
• Possess strong organizational and communications skills
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
• Have strong knowledge regarding general office duties
• Friendly and patient “people person”
