The TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT is looking for creative, hardworking and responsible college students that have a strong interest in film, film festivals, film related production, and event planning for the 2019 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL.

The Tribeca Film Festival was launched to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. The Festival brings together visionaries across industries and diverse audiences to celebrate the power of storytelling. A platform for independent filmmaking, creative expression and immersive entertainment, Tribeca supports emerging and established voices, discovers award-winning filmmakers, curates innovative and interactive experiences, and introduces new technology and ideas through panels, premiers, exhibitions and live performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Interns will initially start by assisting the Programming Department (along with other Festival staff members) with various administrative duties and assorted relevant projects. Such duties will include database entry, responding to general Festival inquiries, film and film industry research, in addition to any other office tasks as needed. Duties and responsibilities will increase as the 2019 Festival approaches. This internship is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in and gain knowledge of the world of independent film and the independent film industry. Interns MUST BE AVAILABLE to participate during the Tribeca Film Festival to be held from April 24th to May 5th, 2019.
This internship is slated to begin on September 3rd, 2018 and last until May 10th, 2019.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be:
Computer literate (MS Word & Excel)
Internet savvy and phone friendly
Detail oriented, dedicated and energetic
Possess strong organizational and communications skills
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
Have strong knowledge regarding general office duties
Experienced with computer database software (e.g., FileMaker Pro)
Strong fluency in a foreign language is a PLUS
HOURS
You must be able to intern a minimum of two days/16-20 hours per week.
