Role
We are looking for a Director of Marketing and Communications to join our Trailer Park team in Hollywood. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive marketing and communications background. The position is both strategic and tactical, being both a thinker and a doer, and forming strong partnerships with internal and external client teams. Reporting to the CEO, you are an experienced marketing professional who will help drive the vision for key functional areas including marketing, communications, thought leadership, events and website development. You have a knack for social media and personal branding, and are a creative problem solver. You are self-motivated, able to wear many hats, enjoy being in a hands on role that requires the ability to multi-task, able to hold yourself accountable, and above all else are able to communicate articulately with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing and communications plan to advance the company’s brand identity
• Lead PR, internal communications and social media for Trailer Park
• Create thought leadership strategy that includes speaking engagements, creating and distributing white papers and identifying and submitting award opportunities.
• Manage the company’s social presence and elevate profiles on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook through creating posts and content for each platform, curating the feeds and building audiences.
• Manage and write content for the company website including continually keeping the website up to date and refreshed.
• Collaborate with division heads to track down assets
• This role will act as a consultant and marketing leader to ensure all managed assets’ marketing efforts are aligned with Trailer Park senior leadership’s expectations to drive growth and profitability through the appropriate allocation of marketing resources.
• Creative writing to create internal communication to the agency: newsletters, memos, new campaigns, awards, recent hire, etc.
• Understanding publicity and how it elevates areas of marketing and the company profile
• Ability to recognize design esthetics for assets
• Manage company participation in industry events: speaking engagements for executives, award show entries, etc.
• Assist with creating pitch decks
Qualifications
• 7 years of marketing/communications experience
• Advertising/PR agency related work particularly within entertainment marketing preferred
• BA/BS with an emphasis in journalism, communication, marketing and public relations highly preferred
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of major projects
• Must be able to interact efficiently and articulately with executives to interpret, explain and advocate media opportunities
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be an exceptional problem solver, self-motivated and driven, with the ability to deliver projects in a timely manner
• Level headed, calm and functions well under stress
• Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations
