Assistant Editor

Trailblazer Studios in Raleigh, NC has an immediate opening for an Assistant Editor.

The Assistant Editor's responsibility will be to assist multiple editors for long form editorial sessions. This may include but is not limited to the following: organizing projects, logging and sub-clipping media, preparing graphics, pre-mixing audio in sequences, making string-ups, posting cuts for approval, prepping for online and audio mix, and coordinating with Producers, Technicians, and Coordinators on all additional needs and deliverables.

Although this is an entry-level position, applicant should understand broadcast standards and be comfortable with all digital formats. Knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, and After Effects a plus. Must be self-motivated, have creative insight, be able to take instruction and multi-task to meet the heavy workload. We are an Avid based shop so knowledge in Avid Media Composer is an advantage.
