We're looking for a Director of Digital Marketing who understands how to make artists stand out in the fast-moving world of social-and who thrives at the intersection of culture, creativity, and analytics.
The Role:
As our Director of Digital Marketing, you'll lead the charge on digital storytelling and fan engagement for our artists. You'll craft and execute platform-specific strategies, produce and schedule content, manage fan pages, monitor analytics, and jump on trends-all while keeping the artist's voice and brand identity front and center. We're especially excited to meet candidates who bring well informed theories on what works and the curiosity to explore unexpected, innovative approaches that challenge the norm and adapt to fast changes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute platform-specific social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms.
Lead brainstorms and concepting sessions across creative, digital, and marketing teams to design compelling digital rollouts.
Help define and evolve the digital brand and voice for both developing and established artists.
Stay ahead of platform trends, AI tools, and new content formats to spark engagement and streamline workflows.
Content Creation & Management:
Handle day-to-day content planning, production, scheduling, and posting across artist accounts, ensuring alignment with brand tone and campaign goals.
Write compelling, on-brand copy in the artists' voices.
Edit and deliver high-quality short-form content using tools like CapCut, VEED, and Adobe Suite.
Oversee short-form content strategies executed in-house or via third-party vendors and agencies.This includes sourcing videographers, collaborating with content producers, and building relationships with agencies to create and share compelling narratives.
Oversee the central organization of all digital content - raw footage, final assets, and captions.
Campaign Execution:
Build and launch multi-platform digital campaigns for singles, albums, and moments - from concept to execution.
Coordinate with managers, creatives, and label partners to ensure timely asset delivery, approvals, and alignment.
Monitor real-time performance and pivot strategies when necessary to maximize impact.
Audience Growth & Engagement
Strategically manage and grow artist fan pages and third-party theme pages to expand reach and foster community.
Monitor fan sentiment and identify opportunities for authentic engagement and real-time response.
Collaborate with the Audience Development teams to activate fan-generated content and grassroots engagement strategies.
Influencer & Seeding Campaigns
Concept and execute influencer and creator campaigns in collaboration with agencies and third parties.
Approve creative drafts, track results, and optimize tactics.
Deploy strategic seeding campaigns to amplify visibility and drive social buzz.
Analytics & Optimization
Track KPIs and performance metrics, regularly providing reporting, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations.
Use third-party tools to monitor engagement, sentiment, and growth.
Continuously analyze trends, data, and platform shifts to inform creative decisions.
Partnership & Communication
Act as the main stakeholder for all things social - liaising directly with artists, managers, labels, and collaborators.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, editors, content creators, and analytics partners to support campaign goals.
WHO YOU ARE:
You have 3+ years of experience managing social media for artists, entertainment properties, or culturally relevant brands. Experience at a label or in music management is a major plus.
You're fluent in digital trends, internet culture, and platform algorithms, with a sharp sense of what resonates in different corners of the internet.
You have a strong editorial and creative voice - with the ability to write compelling, on-brand copy that reflects each artist's unique tone.
You bring a strategic, data-informed mindset to content planning, campaign development, and platform growth - backed by intuition, analytics, and a deep love of storytelling.
You're highly proficient in content creation and editing tools, including CapCut, VEED, Adobe Suite, and Final Cut Pro.
You understand how to develop and execute high-impact digital campaigns, including interactive web experiences and cross-platform rollouts.
You have a strong grasp of short-form video culture and know what drives engagement and discoverability online.
You bring a sharp understanding of diverse cultural and genre landscapes, with an instinct for what connects across audiences, platforms, and sounds.
You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, balancing structure with flexibility as trends, platforms, and timelines shift.
You're creative and resourceful, constantly generating original, brand-aligned digital ideas while keeping a clean, organized workflow.
You're a collaborative teammate with experience working cross-functionally between creative, marketing, and external partners - and you know how to push projects forward with clarity and confidence.
You're open to feedback, adaptable to change, and eager to grow with evolving platforms, tools, and artist needs.
BONUS POINTS:
Experience managing or mentoring a team - this role will supervise 1-2 Social Media interns.
Familiarity with CRM tools and email marketing platforms and an understanding of how to build and engage email audiences.
Understanding of website optimization, SEO best practices, and digital audience funnels.
