We are currently hiring for the position of:
Talent Management & DEI Lead
The Talent Management and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Lead, will lead and drive initiatives that promote an inclusive culture of diverse talent. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that foster employee growth, engagement, and inclusion across the organization.
The role will support the build-out, and the execution of TIFF’s Talent Management approach and ensure its ability to grow and develop diverse talent alignment to the organization’s mission, vision, values, and overall strategic plan.
The incumbent works closely with People and Culture as well as the Senior Management Team and other stakeholders both within the organization and in the external community. They will act as a resource and will provide confidential assistance with case intake for unionized and non-unionized staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Development:
• Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive talent development programs that support employee growth, career progression, and leadership development.
• Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars that enhance employees' skills and competencies.
• Partner with leadership & management to identify key talent needs and develop strategies to address skill gaps and future leadership requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent development initiatives and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Manage Organization-wide Employee engagement activities including surveys, wellness events and other employee engagement activities
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:
• Lead the development and execution of DEI strategies and initiatives that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of DEI practices and policies, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address gaps.
• Support ERG groups and chair Accessibility committee and other support resources to deliver employee and organization-wide objectives
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement DEI programs, mentorship programs, and support community partnerships.
• Support Organization Advisory committees and Employee Resource Groups to maintain good employee engagement
• Provide guidance and support to leadership on DEI matters, including inclusive hiring practices, bias mitigation, and cultural competency.
Leadership and Collaboration:
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on talent development and DEI issues, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with HR colleagues, business leaders, and external partners to foster collaboration and alignment on talent and DEI objectives.
• Build strong networks and contribute to industry events, conferences, and forums to share best practices and stay current on emerging trends in talent development and DEI.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of talent development and DEI initiatives, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
• Prepare and present regular reports on talent and DEI metrics to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to DEI and talent management.
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
• Job Grade 4
• 65,000-99,000 / Annually
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• Start Date: September 23, 2024
WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 2 days (November to May)
• Minimum 3 days (June to October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management / development, organizational development, or a related HR function, with a focus on DEI initiatives.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing successful talent development programs and DEI strategies.
• Strong understanding of DEI principles, best practices, and legal requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure program effectiveness.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
